A day in Napa Valley

On the last day of my business trip in Mountain View, I visited Napa Valley with my friends in the valley.

Korbel Champagne Cellars

We started with the free tour of Korbel Champagne Cellars, walking us through the process of making Champagne, followed by Champagne tasting.

Bike Trip to Osman Sagar

Osman Sagar is an artificial lake about an hour’s drive from Hyderabad.

Driving to Osman Sagar

Our first stop was Mrugavani National Park. The park has Safari tours from 10am to 4pm. You can roam around the park without the guided safari tours, however most parts of the park can be visited only on the guided tours.

A day in Dubai

Whenever I take an international flight, I try to extend my layovers. This is how I had visited Hong Kong and Singapore while traveling to Taiwan and Australia for student exchange and internships in college. Two months after joining Google in Hyderabad, I got the opportunity to visit the Googleplex in Mountain View. I was flying via Dubai so I decided to pick flights that gave me a long layover.

A week in Malaysia

I love making impulsive plans. It all started when I was in Hard Rock Cafe and heard about an Air Asia sale for round trip tickets to Kuala Lumpur for less than 8000 INR (120USD). I stepped out, called other friends from work and college and booked tickets for 6 of us that night, followed by 10 other friends booking their flights later that week.

Great Barrier Reef

An internship in Australia means a trip to the Barrier Reef. We flew to Whitsundays as it has great diving and sailing tours at the Airlie beach. Sailing on siska, an 80ft Ocean Maxi that has won races all over the world with the friendliest staff was one of the most thrilling experience of my life. Okay, so here it begins with an introduction of what each one of us was up to.

Mount Fuji

When I got my summer internship at Sony Corporation, Japan, the first thing I added to my todo list was to climb Mt. Fuji. During my interviews with Sony, I mentioned this as one of the reasons I want to do the internship in Japan. Preparing intensively by reading blogs, asking locals and referring tourist websites, our group of 9 interns from India, decided to take a once-in-a-lifetime trip to summit Mount Fuji (富士山, Fujisan), Japan’s highest mountain, an active volcano, 3776 meters above the sea level.
